Kota Damansara – Things to Do During the Weekends

by | F&B, i-Lifestyle, Leisure & Entertainment

Once a slow and quiet townhouse development, Kota Damansara has transitioned into a hub of food and fun. If you’re new to Kota Damansara or happen to drop by, here are some fun things to do this weekend in Kota Damansara.

CHILL AT A CAFÉ IN KOTA DAMANSARA

A great way to spend your free time during the weekend is to relax at a café. You can visit a café by yourself for some much-needed alone time or catch up with friends and family. A popular café is Fifth Palate which seems to have become a household name in the area because of its clean and minimalistic décor with great food. Try out their Butcher’s Breakfast which is composed of eggs (poached, fried or scrambled) with streaky pork bacon or ham, sausage, portobello mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, tater tots, rye toast & chutney. Not to be missed is also their Turkish Baked Eggs with chorizo slices, spiced aubergine, mozzarella & tomato sauce. Fifth Palate is the place to go for a perfect weekend date.

If you’ve watched the popular Taiwanese romance movie, Café Waiting Love then you’ll be excited to know that there is a café inspired by the 2014 rom-com in Kota Damansara. Head over to Café Waiting Love to try the Owner’s Speciality espresso-based beverages. Important note, the hot version of the drink is served only once per day.

SING KARAOKE

Karaoke is one of the best bonding experiences that you can have with your friends or significant other. Not only that, but you also get to release your stress with some of your favourite music and belt out your love for music. Some recommended karaoke places to visit are the Superstar Family KTV, Loudspeaker Family Karaoke and Nav Family Karaoke.

You can’t miss Superstar Family KTV with its bright neon lights at the side of the building. There is also a Japanese restaurant, Warakuya which serves food to the karaoke customers as well. This karaoke place is a great choice to indulge in food and then singing your heart out.

CLAW MACHINE HOPPING

Currently trending amongst teens and adults, the claw machines are addictive and fun to play with. The claw machines have stuffed toys, figurines and even mystery boxes. If you want to nab one of those cute toys, try your luck at Infinite Claw (Sunway Nexis), Joy Luck Station and Moon Walk Café.

CHOCOLATE MUSEUM KOTA DAMANSARA

Chocolate lovers, assemble! The Chocolate Museum by Fidani is a fun way to spend the day with your loved ones. Learn more about your favourite snack and dessert as you discover the origins of cocoa and the first forefathers of the chocolate industry. You’ll be surprised by the amazing and fun facts about chocolate.

You’ll also be enlightened about the beneficial health properties that chocolate possesses. As you walk through the museum, you’ll also see old machines and equipment used to process and make chocolate. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see chocolate-making demonstrations and get a taste of the chocolate. Once you’re done with the sights and demonstrations, head over to the Chocolate Galleria and be amazed with the array of chocolates.
